Update failure returning message:

I got this message during of of the procedures of windows update when trying to install Microsoft.NET Framework 4.5.1 and 4.

Manual installation of each update that failed.
First, to download, identify the hotfix number shown on "windows update".
Usually it is a number like this: KB2894854.
Find and download by this number. Ex.:
search for:
download KB2894854
or
download microsoft KB2894854
After download, run the executables to install the hotfix.
>INSTALLED PACKAGES
For example, in my case I had to download and install each hotfix that windows' update refused to.

KB2894854 and KB2972216 have been downloaded and installed several times but still appear as important updates that need to be installed.
ReplyDeleteThere is a special situation when you try to install missing updates, but they fail to install, and the missing update messages appear again, likewise you had not attempted to install them before.
ReplyDeleteIn this case, when the system is not responding to the procedures, things not happening as they should, the best approach is to reinstall windows, or use an old image (that one you've created using "Backup And Restore" option (available on start menu). If your system get corrupted, fixes become not effective.
